Do Gaming Announces rAge 09 Plans

Telkom Do Gaming can now announce some of the details for rAge.

There will three competitions at rAge:

Call of Duty 4 – top 36 teams
Counter Strike Source – 12 teams
Battlefield 2 – 10 teams

These teams will all receive tickets to the rAge expo. The Do Gaming competition will happen in a separate VIP section, which will be connected to the open LAN.

The ranking of the teams will be decided from the third leg of the Do Gaming League. In the case of CoD4, there will be a playoff at the end of the leg and the top 36 teams thereafter will receive rAge tickets. Details of the playoff structure will be released soon.

In addition, AGASA may be running a DotA tournament in the open LAN along with a Call of Duty 4 tournament. These would be run by AGASA and would not linked to the Telkom Do Gaming competition. These players would have to pay the R250 for their tickets into the open LAN and expo.

Is this NAG LAN tickets, or just rAge Expo tickets ?

It's NAG Lan tickets which give to access to the Expo as well...

Eish, the end of the leg is in about a months time. Long after rAge tickets will be sold out. So if a team doesn't make the top 36, they might lose out on rAge? :<

I had already bought my rAge ticket last year before I knew about the free tickets, so I just sold my extra ticket at the door.

If teams do not make the top 36 teams, does not mean they have to miss out at rAge. They can still attend the event. But they just need to buy their own LAN tickets as well as they can play in the Social COD4 tournie.

Basically all teams in Premier league and 1st Division will qualify, 2nd division teams will need battle it out for the top 10 spots to qualify and the top 2 from the 3rd division will qualify.

fluffy 3rd div is quite a tough one tbh

will it be top two teams from each pool or top two teams combined :/
cause their are some hot teams in 3rd div Smile

Hey Telkom guys. I need to know about the Dota and Counterstrike.
Do we need to qualify for dota or just pay the R250 to enter the comp?
and Where do i start qualifying for Counterstrike?
